A CHURCH WITH UNIQUE PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

**All of our teachers, volunteers and childcare providers have completed a screening process in compliance with Friendship’s Safe Sanctuaries Policy**

Friendship UMC values children and youth!  For this very reason, we are blessed to have three paid staff members who specifically minister to children, junior high and senior high youth.  As a church family, we believe it is our responsibility to provide numerous opportunities for children and youth to know and serve Jesus Christ.  We are a vibrant church and hope that you will discover our energy to be contagious!

INFANTS – AGE 2:  Our nursery is carefully staffed by trained volunteers whose dedication to our littlest ones is cherished.  Nursery care is available at the 9 a.m.  and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services.

PRESCHOOLERS THROUGH GRADE FOUR:    We offer Sunday School and activities during the 9 am and 10:30 a.m. worship services.  Children have fun learning about God and Jesus through Bible stories, crafts, and games. We provide different curriculum for each time. Please note, during the summer there is no Sunday School for preschool through 4th grade during the 9 a.m. service. There will be a table set up in the Connect service for children with activities.

“SON” SHINE SERVICE FOR PRESCHOOL THROUGH 4TH GRADE: The “Son” Shine Service is our children’s Sunday morning program at 9 a.m. It is geared for fun, worship and mission opportunities. Children start the morning with their parents in the Contemporary service. They will be dismissed to attend class

SUNDAY SCHOOL AT 10:30 A.M.: Sunday school for Kindergarten – grade 4.  Children start the morning with their parents in the Traditional service. They will then be dismissed after Children’s Moments to attend their age appropriate grade level Sunday school. The children learn the Bible stories by going to a different rotation each week of Spiritual Practices, Missions, Story/Drama, Art, Science, Games, and Cooking.

F.I.S.H:  F.I.S.H. is our 5th and 6th grade youth fellowship program.  They meet in Room 206 for a class that revolves around videos, discussion and fellowship.  The room is uniquely created for this age group with sofas, cool lighting and an air hockey table.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH: Students meet weekly to discuss their understandings of faith and real life, learning how to take God into the world with them.  The program also focuses on fellowship and outreach.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH: Meet several times weekly for "Cafe" to discuss faith and current life issues plus fellowship, outreach and missions. More info, including schedule, is available here.

ADULT CLASSES: A variety of classes are available to adults on rotating basis throughout the year.  Sessions meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and at various times during the week. All adults are welcome to join these groups at any time. Additional groups will be added as leaders are found. Contact Sharon Freyhof for more information or to volunteer as a leader!
