Mark your calendars for a church picnic on Sunday, August 6. We'll meet at Foster Grove Memorial Park in Wyoming that morning for an outdoor worship service followed by a picnic and games.

REMINDER: SATURDAY, MAY 6TH from 8AM-2PM - Boy Scout Troop 482 will be selling plants and flowers at their annual sale! Come and enjoy the variety and support the mission of the troop! The sale will be held in the South Parking Lot of the church, located at 1025 Springfield Pike at the corner of Fleming Road. Most items are a part of a pre-sale and will have limited extra plants. Friendship UMC is co-sponsoring this musical experience with our fellow community of churches in Wyoming. Invite a friend and bring your family to this community concert Lent event. All are welcome. Tickets are not required. 

JOIN US for an Old-Fashioned Church Family Christmas Get-Together on Sunday Evening, December 18 in Thomas Family Hall at 5:10 pm “ready to eat” a family-style chicken dinner. At 6:00 pm we’ll have a Christmas carol sing-a-long and at 6:25 pm a 35 minute presentation by the choir of the cantata “Rhapsody in Bluegrass – A Christmas Jubilee”

We will be eating / serving each other family-style at round tables of 8.

Chicken, rolls and drinks will be provided by the Friendship Music Department.

If you would like to join us for dinner, here’s what you need to do:

·       Indicate whether your party will bring a ONE (1) potato or ONE (1) vegetable dish for 8-10 to share at your table.

·       Also, please bring an item for the dessert buffet.

There will also be a signup sheet on the table in the Narthex after worship on Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.

DEADLINE for dinner signups is Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Come to Worship with us and wear your favorite festive sweater! Then after worship we will have our baked goods on sale in Thomas Family Hall! There will be no pre-sales before this fellowship event. Thanks!

ALL proceeds from the bake sale will go to the Sonshine Club and will be given to a family in need of help this Christmas!

Come celebrate and fellowship...and watch as we burn the mortgage note and Friendship becomes DEBT FREE on Sunday, November 6th immediately after service!

This is a very special occasion and we have invited several former pastors to attend! There will also be lots of photos and videos of the beginning of Friendship, the building and evolution of the church, and the special people who attended Friendship over the years. We will be serving chili, cornbread, and Mac and cheese for the kids..... coffee, lemonade, iced tea, and cupcakes from Wyoming Bakery for dessert. See You All There!
