Welcome to the Friendship Schools Project!

At Friendship UMC, we believe in being a loving and welcoming community, and we are honored to have the opportunity to serve as the home for Hilltop and Vermont elementary school students during their renovations.

Our partnership with Wyoming City Schools is more than just sharing our space—it’s living out our calling to welcome, support, and care for our neighbors. We are grateful for the support of generations of our congregation, our school leaders, parents, and Wyoming neighbors who have made this hope-filled opportunity possible.

Together, let’s create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for our youngest Wyoming students to learn and grow!

🙌 A Spirit-Led Season

We know this is a lot of change—but it’s also full of opportunity, energy, and God’s presence. The Spirit is on the move at Friendship UMC, and you’re in the know! Stay tuned for more updates.

  • Signed, Sealed, Delivered—We Have New Neighbors!
    We’re thrilled to announce that Friendship UMC will be home to Wyoming City Schools for the next three years! Let the partnership begin!

  • Family Room for Meetings
    We’ve converted the nursery into a Family Room—a comfy, flexible space for gatherings of all ages. Located near the parking lot, sanctuary, and church office, the Family Room is available for your group or meeting!

  • Thomas Family Hall = The Gym
    To keep communication clear and consistent, Thomas Family Hall will now be called the  “gym.” This update was endorsed by Rev. Bob Thomas and helps bridge school, church, and community language.

  • For safety during school hours (6 AM–6 PM), the following doors will be inaccessible:

    • South Entrance

    • Southwest Entrance (kitchen door)

    • Gym Door
